As a very small child, I have had an itch deep in my urethra, that I could not scratch. I would grab myself to subdue this itch, to which my mother constantly yell at me. At the age of 14 I tried some primitive urethra play to deal with this itch. This was back in the 70's. Felt great untill I gave myself a UTI. Years later, I am now retired , and have the time to scratch that itch properly. Using catheters seem to be what I like best. This serves three purposes.

1- definitely helps with ED

2- Helps keep my urethra opened, from BPH

3- Greatly increases sexual pleasure.

It has take some time and effort to get completely comfortable with this play, but I think its has been well worth it, and more Dr. should promote this.

Your article is appropriate and timely. I have also done DIY sounding, I later purchased stainless sounds to continue. It was fun but the each time I urinated after the play it would burn my urethra. I stopped doing the sounding because I didn't like the burning feeling. I also wanted to have some type of sex play that I could share with my wife, and I know that she would not be into inserting objects into my urethra. I no longer do urethral play.
